The slab-on-grade bungalows along the upper reaches of Westdale Avenue remind me of houseboats, a series of low-slung and rather serene barges moored alongside the road, as if the road is a darkened river and … well I can tell I’ve lost most of you already. The point is they’re interesting places, and that’s more than can be said for many houses (and what an awful thing that is for a real estate agent to say out loud).
