Location DescriptionDisclosure: Reason for Previously Failed Deal Unfortunately,we were not able to come to mutually acceptable terms with the previous purchasers on the home inspection items from the inspection report. My clients had agreed to address the majority of the items but the previous purchasers wanted, what the sellers believed to be,an exorbitant amount of money off to address a precautionary measure. There had been a single incident of a small puddle having formed in the basement. This happened during a significant thawing period and then went away. The Purchasers wanted to install a sump pump as a precaution, which the Sellers were happy to contribute to if it helped to mitigate the purchasers concern. Even though, from their perspective,it wasn't necessary given their experience with the home. The purchasers wanted more than $10,000 for this installation. Which obviously wasn't tenable. Hence the previous deal fell through.
